REJECTED THE MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIP

Diposting oleh Bina Yuliawati di 07.25

A paragraph

While I was still in High School, I was offered a medical scholarship. However, I could not accept it because of some reasons. First, I am not mentally ready to study medicine. I am afraid of injection and I always cry every time I am about to be injected. Furthermore, I am afraid of blood, just by seeing one drip of blood makes me feel shocked. In addition, I will not have the heart to dissect living animals, let alone corpse. Second, I am afraid of being lonely. The campus lies in Lampung, meaning that I will be far away from my family and friends. My parents will not permit me to go too far from their supervision. Moreover, I am a kind of person who has a hard time mixing with people and adapting to a new environment. Third, I am more interested in the media than in medicine. On that account, I decided to go to college and study at the London School of Public Relations, majoring in Mass Communication, in order for me to be able to realize my dream to become a scriptwriter and editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine. Rejecting the medical scholarship was not easy. However, I have no regret for the choice I made. On the contrary, I am very thankful to God, for I was able to take the right decision in my life. The path I have chosen will lead me to reach my dream and the bright future for which I always cherish a hope.
