There are three things that freedom of press could threaten the stability of society, such as strike social difference, tight competition, and social war. The freedom that given to press on purpose to digging up the information as much as possible to consumption by public and to increase public insight. In spite of, freedom of press could threaten the stability of society.
First threat is strike social difference. Press loves to shown rich people lifestyle. The rich people also love to show it off. Then, many people like the middle class lifestyle. Press radiating their simple lifestyle. Next, poor people lifestyle also interested. Press used to review their way to survive.
Second threat is tight competition. There is competition to reach the authority. Everyone wants to have a huge authority, so that they can do anything as their will. Next is competition on position reaching. By having a high position, they expect a good prosperity. After that, there is competition to be spotlight. It is not easy to get that, so some people make sensation or scandal to get there.
The last threat is criminality appear. There is murdering, that done by the executor just for getting their victim’s goods. Next is plundering people on the street. Because of the victim seen wear expensive goods. Then, violence that been done by the master to their maid. The master did that violence usually because of power syndrome.
That is why the freedom of press could threaten the stability of society. The more information about social people life, not even increases their insight, but the more threaten their social stability. That could appear social difference between rich people to the middle class, and poor people. Then, bring the competition to reach authority, position, and spotlight. Next, freedom of press also brings criminality such as murderous, plunderers, and violence.
